VIA GRAPHIC PLUS — Ikebana Manila Chapter 108 will hold two special hands-on workshops featuring the timeless beauty and artistry of Japanese floral arrangement on August 29, 2026 at the LRI Design Plaza 210 Nicanor Garcia Street, Bel-Air II, Makati City.
Dr. Jun Balderrama of the Ikenobo School will conduct the morning workshop from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon. Ikenobō is the oldest and largest school of Ikebana. The organized school was founded in the 15th century by the Buddhist monk Senno.
Sensei Joyce Kato of the Ohara School will conduct the afternoon workshop from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm. The Ohara School emphasizes seasonal qualities, natural growth processes, and the beauty of natural environments. Ohara School believes that it is important for its students to observe nature.
The workshop includes Moribana vase, Kenzan, scissors, flowers, and snacks
Whether you are a beginner or a flower enthusiast, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore the principles, traditions, and creative expression of Ikebana.
The workshops are among the activities leading up to the 16th Asian Regional Conference which will be held in Manila from October 1-4, 2026 with Ikebana Manila Chapter 108 as host in cooperation with Cagayan de Oro Chapter #163, Cebu Chapter #145 and Davao Chapter #133.
