Bringing together Araneta City’s dining, entertainment, hospitality, and retail destinations, the month-long celebration highlights the country’s rich seafood heritage.

Here’s your guide to the seafood experiences waiting across the City of Firsts throughout the month!

  1. Cheer on culinary talent in a cooking showdown at Farmers Market

Head over to Dampa at Farmers Market on August 22 (Saturday) for the festival’s main event — the Farmers Market Culinary Showdown: Seafood Edition, a market-to-kitchen-to-table cooking competition where seasoned chefs and culinary students are set to take on a series of seafood-focused challenges while championing the importance of responsible and sustainable seafood sourcing.

Hosted by celebrity chef Nathaniel Uy, the showdown will feature three teams consisting of: (Team A) Michelin Guide 2026 Bib Gourmand awardee chef Miguel Cabel “Miggy” Moreno with students from Our Lady of Fatima University; (Team B) Novotel Manila and ibis Styles Manila executive chefs Rhenner Alair and Athena Tuble with students from World City Colleges; and (Team C) celebrity chef Sharwin Tee with students from Jose Rizal University.

Overseeing the competition is an esteemed panel of judges, including Chef Kalel Chan, Chef Jocen Villongco, and Chef Roberto Pengson; with select tenants of Dampa at Farmers Market joining as the guides for the second round. Hosting the event is Binibining Pilipinas 2026 2nd Runner-up Tracy Mae Sunio.

Settle into your seat at Gateway Cineplex and take advantage of the special SEA-nema: A Reel Catch 2-in-1 movie screening until August 31, where you can watch award-winning films Flow and Food Delivery: Fresh from the West Philippine Sea at a special discounted price.
