VIA GRAPHIC PLUS — CIBI Information Inc. (CIBI) has been recognized among Asia’s Most Influential Companies at the ACES Awards 2026. This award highlights its evolution from the Philippines’ first credit bureau into a broader data and intelligence partner that supports trusted decision-making across lending, employment, identity verification, and fraud prevention.
For more than four decades, CIBI has evolved alongside the changing needs of financial institutions and Filipinos. As digital financing becomes more interconnected, challenges have also grown more complex where credit risk can now overlap with concerns around identity, fraud, and business verification. In response, CIBI has expanded its capabilities to help address these emerging needs.
“The challenge today is no longer gaining access to information. Institutions need to understand what the data is telling them and how they can use this to respond to risks. ” said Pia Arellano, President and CEO of CIBI. “For us, trusted data becomes even more valuable when it’s used to help institutions act with greater confidence and create better outcomes for the people we all serve.”
As an accredited Special Assessing Entity (SAE) of the Credit Information Corporation (CIC), CIBI combines credit information with alternative data and scoring solutions to help financial institutions get a broader view of potential borrowers.
Since 2024, CIBI’s data infrastructure has supported 10.1 million people new to credit, helping Filipinos establish their credit profiles and become visible within the formal financial system. CIBI further promotes greater understanding of credit, responsible borrowing, and long-term financial health for them to participate in the system sustainably.

CIBI’s expansion of capabilities now cover areas such as identity and business verification, employment and fraud prevention. Initiatives such as CIBI University, Fraud Intelligence Data Sharing (FIDS) Network, and its workforce solutions reflect how it has applied trusted data to respond to different needs across the financial and business sectors.
Furthermore, CIBI continues to work with partners across the Philippine regulatory and financial ecosystem, including the CIC, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), and major industry associations. These collaborations aim to strengthen information sharing across the industry, helping institutions identify and respond to risks that may be difficult to detect on their own.
CIBI’s recognition reflects how the role of trusted data has evolved and benefited the Philippine economy. More than a recognition of what CIBI has achieved, the award also highlights CIBI’s mission to continue expanding its capabilities, deepen partnerships, and develop solutions and initiatives that respond to emerging challenges in credit, identity, fraud, and financial inclusion.
