VIA GRAPHIC PLUS — Skyro, an SEC-registered fintech company, has earned another major recognition, winning the Philippines Consumer Service Innovation of the Year – Financial Technology award at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2026.
The awards ceremony, held on October 20 in Singapore, celebrated organizations across Asia for innovations that deliver measurable results, address critical challenges, and drive meaningful progress across various industries.
Skyro received the award for Flexi, an add-on service that gives Filipinos greater flexibility and control over their loan repayments as their financial circumstances change. Available directly in the Skyro app, Flexi allows customers to adjust their monthly payment amount or due date in just a few taps.
While some lenders require customers to contact customer support or submit requests to adjust their repayment terms, Skyro Flexi offers a simpler, self-service alternative. Powered by an automated system, the service eliminates the need for paperwork, manual verification, or having to provide an explanation.
Flexi has helped customers manage repayments during unexpected financial challenges, from delayed salaries and reduced income to family emergencies. One customer used the service to extend his payment period after his wife gave birth prematurely, allowing him to prioritize their child’s medical needs without taking out another loan.
Around 40% of Skyro’s customer base has activated Flexi, with 60% of them using it to make adjustments. Customer feedback has also been positive, with 87% of customer satisfaction surveys and app reviews mentioning Flexi expressing positive sentiment.
For Dmitriy Vavulidi, Skyro Head of Product, the recognition highlights the importance of rethinking traditional lending practices.
“When we developed Skyro Flexi, we wanted to challenge the idea that customers should always have to follow a fixed repayment schedule, even when their circumstances change,” said Dmitriy. “Behind these features is a lot of product and technology work. But for us, the real innovation is making that flexibility simple, accessible, and useful for customers.”
Meanwhile, Ira Franco, Skyro COO, reflected on the company’s approach to serving its customers.
“At Skyro, we’ve always believed that financial services should adapt to people’s lives, not the other way around,” Franco said. “It’s not just about introducing new technology or features. It’s about understanding what our customers need and finding practical ways to make their financial experiences better.”
The recognition comes as Skyro continues to expand its reach among Filipino consumers. To date, the company has released more than 3 million loans and has more than 7 million registered mobile app users.
Ultimately, Skyro Flexi demonstrates how lending innovation can go beyond expanding access to credit. By making loan repayments more adaptable to customers’ needs, Skyro gives customers greater control over their financial commitments while supporting stronger portfolio performance and sustainable business growth.
