This Sept. 18, 2021, Saturday at 1 p.m., we will witness the launching of “First ever Olympic Gold Medalist Hidilyn Diaz stamps,” Team Pilipinas Olympic Medalists Stamps and “Keep the Faith, Be a Hero, Vaccinated Stamps,” the first stamps issued by a postal administration in the world that promotes vaccination as a way to fight COVID-19.
The stamps feature the winning moments of our very own first ever Olympic Gold Medalist Hidilyn Diaz and her fellow Team Pilipinas Olympic Medalists, Our Boxing Champions, namely: Carlo Paalam (Silver Medalist), Nesthy Petecio (Silver Medalist) and Eumir Marcial (Bronze Medalist).
These stamps remind us of how important they are to be recognized properly in what they are doing, to keep our Philippine Flag high and shining in the world of sports.
The glory they have given to our nation and to the Filipino People is priceless. “Truly, Sports has the power to change the world and inspire people to unite in facing adversity and uncertainty”.
