BONIFACIO GLOBAL CITY, Taguig – Listed natural resource development firm Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC) hauled 11 awards during the 2024 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Awards (PMIEA) held at the CAP Convention Center, Baguio City, on Nov. 22, 2024.

“Tonight is a celebration of our shared dedication to responsible and forward-thinking mining practices,” said NAC President and CEO Martin Antonio G. NAC subsidiaries Taganito Mining Corporation (TMC), Hinatuan Mining Corporation (HMC), and Cagdianao Mining Corporation (CMC) won the coveted Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award – the highest accolade awarded by the President of the Republic of the Philippines to mining companies based on excellence in safety and health, environmental protection, social development, and corporate social responsibility.

CMC, based in Dinagat Islands, Surigao, won the Best Mining Forest (Metallic Category) – a testament to its commitment to establishing land use values equal to or greater than those prior to mining activities. TMC, based in Claver, Surigao, won 2nd Runner-up in the same category.

Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) based in Bataraza, Palawan, won the Platinum Achievement Award in the Surface Mining Operation Category.
