MacBook Neo pre-orders go live as Beyond the Box builds a launch built around experience

Beyond the Box is rolling out the MacBook Neo with café takeovers, influencer meetups, and a pre-order bundle worth over ₱10,000. The rollout reflects how premium tech retail is shifting toward experience-driven launches.

GRAPHIC TECH — Apple officially launched the MacBook Neo last month and it arrived with considerable attention: at ₱39,990, it is the most affordable MacBook Apple has ever released  and it carries the A18 Pro chip — the same processor found in the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max.

For a market where Apple hardware has historically been out of reach for many buyers, the price point alone was enough to generate significant interest. Beyond the Box is now capitalizing on that momentum with a pre-order push designed to match the machine’s accessibility with an equally accessible buying experience.

The country’s established Apple Premium Reseller is bringing the MacBook Neo to market with a pre-order experience that looks considerably more like a brand activation than a product launch.

Starting April 12, customers can reserve the new machine across all Beyond the Box, Digital Walker, and open_source branches nationwide, as well as through beyondthebox.ph, LazMall, and Shopee Mall. The rollout also includes elements well beyond the transaction itself.

What’s NEO

The MacBook Neo features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a 2408 x 1506 resolution and 500 nits of brightness, powered by Apple’s A18 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine.   It is available in 256GB and 512GB configurations — the latter adding Touch ID — and comes in four colors: blush, indigo, silver, and citrus. Apple silicon delivers up to 16 hours of battery life for web surfing or video playback.

A different Pre-Order experience

Pre-order customers receive a bundle of accessories valued at over ₱10,000. But more than the freebies and hardware bundle, Beyond the Box is staging two café takeover events: Scout’s Honor at Uptown Mall on April 16, and The Matcha Tokyo at Opus Mall on April 17.

Attendees who pre-order on-site receive a complimentary beverage from a curated menu, live DJ sets, and the chance to meet prominent figures from the local tech and social media community.

Making the MacBook Neo more accessible

The MacBook Neo is available in two configurations: the 256GB model with a cash price of ₱39,990, and the 512GB model with Touch ID at ₱46,990. Both are offered below their respective SRPs of ₱45,490 and ₱52,990 during the pre-order period.

Beyond the Box is offering different installment plans across more than a dozen banking partners including BPI, UnionBank, and Chinabank  Metrobank, EastWest, Security Bank, GoTyme Bank, BDO, RCBC, and PNB. You could also get the 256GB for just ₱44 per day   and ₱51 per day for the 512GB via Home Credit.
