Via GRAPHIC PLUS | Laguna, Philippines, April 2026 – Hino Motors Philippines Corporation (HMP) officially announces the appointment of Maki Yamazaki as its new President, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s continued commitment to delivering Total Support to Filipino customers and businesses.

Yamazaki brings with her nearly two decades of progressive experience within Hino Motors Ltd., underpinned by a strong foundation in international business, marketing, and organizational development. She began her career in HML’s Human Resources Division before expanding her scope across key global regions including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, China, and ASEAN. She also gained valuable field experience during her assignment at Hino Motor Sales Australia Pty., Ltd., where she served as Executive Coordinator for the Brand Franchise Division.

Most recently, prior to her appointment as HMP President, Yamazaki served as Deputy General Manager of the Marketing Department for the ASEAN Division of HML, positioning her at the forefront of regional growth initiatives and equipping her with strong insights into Southeast Asian markets, including the Philippines.

With this extensive global and regional experience, Yamazaki is set to lead Hino Motors Philippines with a strategic vision focused on strengthening market presence, enhancing dealer and customer engagement, and advancing Hino’s Total Support commitment. Her leadership is expected to further integrate global best practices with localized strategies—ensuring that Filipino customers continue to receive reliable products and comprehensive aftersales support tailored to their needs.

Prior to this transition, Shingo Sakai served as President of HMP from January 2023 to December 2025. During his tenure, the company reinforced its Total Support philosophy, expanded its dealership network, and celebrated its 50th year in the Philippine commercial vehicle industry—milestones that provide a strong platform for continued progress.

HMP expresses its sincere appreciation to Sakai for his meaningful contributions and leadership. As the organization moves forward, it remains firmly committed to its mission of supporting Filipino industries and communities, now under the leadership of Yamazaki, with the continued guidance of Vicente T. Mills, Jr. as Chairman.

With Yamazaki at the helm, Hino Motors Philippines looks ahead with confidence—driven by a global perspective, regional expertise, and a renewed commitment to delivering real, reliable, and future-ready mobility solutions for the long haul.
