Via GRAPHIC PLUS — K-Logistikus, a Philippine logistics and supply chain solutions provider, reinforced its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship through its “Kaisa sa Kalikasan” coastal clean-up initiative, held recently, at the Las Piñas–Parañaque Wetland Park. The activity was mounted as a joint Civil Military Operations initiative in partnership with Naval Forces Reserve NCR of the Philippine Navy, strengthening both environmental action and community collaboration.

Recognized as a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance, the Las Piñas–Parañaque Wetland Park spans 181 hectares and serves as a vital refuge for marine species and migratory birds along the East Asian–Australasian Flyway. Protecting the area helps maintain ecological balance while safeguarding nearby communities from environmental risks such as flooding and coastal erosion.

The initiative brought together employees from across K-Logistikus for a day of hands-on environmental action, mobilizing teams to help protect one of Metro Manila’s remaining mangrove and coastal wetland habitats. Participants spent the half-day engaged in a coastal clean-up, guided nature walks, environmental awareness sessions, and educational tours of the park’s museum and nursery facilities.

The partnership with Naval Forces Reserve NCR / Philippine Navy added greater depth to the activity, highlighting the importance of civic cooperation in preserving critical environmental zones. Through this joint effort, participants gained a deeper understanding of the wetland park’s fragile ecosystems and the vital role they play in sustaining biodiversity and supporting surrounding communities.

At the heart of the initiative is K-Logistikus’ belief that corporate responsibility extends beyond day-to-day operations.

“Our responsibility as an organization goes beyond delivering logistics solutions. It extends to how we care for the communities and environments we operate in,” said Sulficio O. Tagud Jr., CEO and President of K-Logistikus. “Through ‘Kaisa sa Kalikasan,’ we empower our people to take part in meaningful action and contribute to preserving our natural resources for future generations.”

Through initiatives like “Kaisa sa Kalikasan,” K-Logistikus continues to foster a culture of volunteerism, collaboration, and environmental responsibility—demonstrating how collective action can create meaningful impact beyond the workplace while strengthening partnerships that serve both people and the planet.
