via GRAPHIC PLUS — Smile Train, the world’s largest cleft-focused organization, partnered with Miss Cosmo for a special visit at St. Vincent General Hospital in Marikina, bringing together international beauty queens, healthcare advocates, patients, and families for a meaningful day dedicated to cleft care awareness, hope, and community empowerment.

The visit featured Miss Cosmo 2025 Yolina Lindquist, Miss Cosmo 2025 Runner-up Chelsea Fernandez, Miss Cosmo 2024 Runner-up Mook Karnruethai Tassabut, and the newly crowned Mister and Miss Cosmo Philippines 2026 Enzo Bonoan and Ysabella Roxas Ysmael as they spent time with Smile Train patients, families, and local medical partners.

Through the event, it highlighted the importance of cleft awareness, early intervention, and access to quality treatment for children born with children born with cleft lip and palate conditions. Through patient interactions, hospital tours, and partner engagement, the queens witnessed firsthand how Smile Train’s programs continue to transform lives through free cleft surgeries and comprehensive care.

Held at St. Vincent General Hospital in Marikina City, one of Smile Train’s valued local partners, the event served as an opportunity to highlight the organization’s ongoing work in the Philippines while amplifying conversations around inclusion, confidence, and healthcare access.

“Every child deserves the confidence to smile, speak, and live fully,” said Joel Flores, Smile Train Area Director for Southeast Asia. “Through this partnership with Miss Cosmo, we hope to amplify awareness for cleft care and celebrate the resilience of every child and family we serve.”

This event also marked the first public appearance of newly crowned Miss Cosmo Philippines 2026 Ysabella Roxas Ysmael, who shared, “What Smile Train is doing is not only helping people, but changing lives, and I think that’s so important. Just the chance for someone to smile better can already make such a big difference in their life. Thank you, Smile Train, for doing what you do, and we can’t wait to be part of it.”

Mister Cosmo Philippines 2026 Enzo Bonoan concluded, “Seeing that there are people who care enough to give these kids a better shot at life and help them feel better about themselves makes us realize that real change is happening, and we’re happy to be part of it.”

The Miss Cosmo Team joined St. Vincent General Hospital Administrator Dra. Jenny Deoduco-Mercado for a hospital tour in Marikina City, as part of Smile Train’s visit highlighting its commitment to accessible cleft care and comprehensive treatment for Filipino children and families.

Smile Train continues to empower local medical professionals and institutions through sustainable cleft care solutions, providing free surgeries and essential services that support children from diagnosis to long-term care.

Miss Cosmo 2025 Runner-up Chelsea Fernandez shares a lighthearted moment with Smile Train patients during the organization’s visit to St. Vincent General Hospital in Marikina City, creating meaningful connections with children and families receiving cleft care treatment.

This visit celebrated compassion in action. Where advocacy, healthcare, and global influence came together to create brighter smiles and lasting change.
