SM City Urdaneta Central opens May 4

SM City Urdaneta Central, the 69th SM Mall in the Philippines and the second in Pangasinan, recently opened its doors to the public. SM City Urdaneta Central, SM Prime Holding’s 69th mall, opens its doors to serve shoppers in Pangasinan. It is the second SM Supermall after SM City Rosales to open in the largest province in the Ilocos Region.

Located on the central part of eastern Pangasinan, Urdaneta City is regarded as the transport hub of the province. The city is traversed by the MacArthur Highway, TPLEX, the Daupan-Urdaneta Road, and the Urdaneta-Asingan Road leading to Nueva Vizcaya. Because of its strategic location, it is also known as the trading hub of Pangasinan, with its Bagsakan or trading post of fruits and vegetables in front of the cathedral.

Urdaneta is among the most progressive cities in Northern Luzon, and is among the region’s cleanest, greenest, and most livable cities. It also houses the Sanctuary IT Building, the only Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) proclaimed IT Building in Pangasinan; as well as numerous businesses, and colleges and universities.

Located on a 38,808- square meter site in MacArthur Highway, the mall will serve residents in Urdaneta, as well as the nearby towns of Binalonan, Villasis, Asingan, and Sta. Barbara.

With two levels and 42,745 square meters in its gross floor area, SM City Urdaneta Central will bring new life and revitalization to the area with its modern design, and exciting shopping, dining, and entertainment offerings.

The mall’s façade is bold and colorful, and designed to create an abstracted triangular pixilation that would translate the length of the building.
