Manila Water’s Bulacan unit turns one, vows more service improvement programs

 Manila Water Philippine Ventures unit, Bulacan Water, recently marked its first year of operationsasit vows to continue to undertake rehabilitation programs to improve the delivery of reliable water supplyin communities established by major developers in the Province of Bulacan.

Since it took over the water operations of subdivisions developed by Asian Land Strategies Corporation, Solar Resources Inc., and Borland Development Corporation located in San Ildefonso, Pulilan, Sta. Maria, Plaridel, and Malolos City in 2017, it now serves over 7,500 water service connections.

During its first year of operations, Bulacan Water began addressing the common issues on water quality, supply availability and service reliability plaguing the subdivisions by instituting various system rehabilitation and efficiency programs such as utilization of proper treatment technology, refurbishment and maintenance of water facilities and appurtenances.

To ensure premium quality of water, microbiological tests are conducted regularly in coordination with municipal and city health offices.

In order to augment supply, the company has started leakage detection and reduction programs to lower system losses and wastage and improve pressure.

Recovered water is redistributed to the network for the needed water supply of the customers.

More service improvement programs are set to be implemented in the coming years to further enhance service delivery and improve customer experience in company’s service areas.
