SM City Legazpi, the Bicol Region’s newest lifestyle destination opened on September 14. It is SM Prime’s 71st supermall, and the second in Bicolandia after SM City Naga.

Legazpi City, the capital of Albay, is the regional center and largest city in the Bicol Region in terms of population. It is the region’s center of tourism, education, health services, commerce and transportation. In 2018, Legazpi was ranked first in overall competitiveness by the National Competitive Council. The city also ranked first in infrastructure and second in economic dynamism.

Located in the southern foothills of scenic Mount Mayon, Legazpi is also known as the City of Fun and Adventure, and has a flourishing tourism industry. There are a number of tourism adventure activities within the city, including riding an ATV around Mt. Mayon, zip-lining, skydiving, scuba diving, and water sports.

Situated along Imelda Roces Avenue in Barangay Bitano, the 87,706 -square meter three- level mall  serves shoppers in bustling Legazpi as well as the rest of Albay. The mall’s design includes a set of bold forms with a subtle, yet impactful curve along Terminal 2 Road that leads visitors to main entry points. Contrasting patterns of varying blues and greys create a distinctive approach along each façade, while a blue frame highlights one of its most unique features; an exterior balcony where visitors can capture a selfie with Mt. Mayon.
