New PAO central office building groundbreaking ceremony

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) formally commenced with the construction of the new Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Central office building in a 5,175 square-meter property at the National Government Center located at Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.

The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Department of Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, Chief Public Attorney Persida Rueda-Acosta and Department of Public Works and Highways Assistant Secretary Antonio Molano Jr.

They were joined by Atty. Ana Lisa Soriano, PAO Deputy Chief Public Attorney for Luzon; Atty. Silvestre Mosing, PAO Deputy Chief Public Attorney for Visayas and Mindanao; Ambassador Barry Gusi, Project Director Johnson Domingo, and Project Manager Jose Aguinaldo of DPWH Unified Project Management office Buildings and special projects Management Cluster Architect Geronima Angeles, Quezon City Division Project Manager of national Housing Authority (NHA) M.E.Sicat Construction President Michael Sicat and Project Manager Gilbert Dayrit.

A National government agency attached to DOJ, PAO deserves a building of its own to be a place of productivity in providing free legal assistance to the ever growing influx of clients.Photo by ROY DOMINGO
