Uniqlo Philippines in partnership with SM Foundation (SMFI) donated 20,000 Uniqlo Dry T-shirts as continuous support and to show appreciation for the hard work of healthcare workers.
The said shirts are smooth and comfortable with a casual, cotton-like texture. It is also newly updated with a contoured silhouette for easy movement and added DRY technology. Through this clothing technology of Uniqlo, our frontliners will be comfortable under those layers of PPEs especially that we are in a tropical country.
The Dry T-shirts were distributed to 45 targeted hospitals in 23 cities nationwide including Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center-Dialysis Center, Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital, San Lazaro Hospital, East Avenue Medical Center, Chinese General Hospital, and The Medical City, among others.
Last Mar. 2020, Uniqlo Philippines pledged Php10 million donations to SM Foundation in order to provide relief or Kalinga Packs to communities that are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Aside from this, the funds will also be used for the purchase of PPEs for frontliners who are serving the medical needs of the nation amidst the pandemic.
Uniqlo Philippines and SMFI has been collaborating and working together with partners in spreading social good in grassroots communities since 2012.
