Reelectionist Binan local officials led by Mayor Walfredo “Arman” Dimaguila Jr., Rep. Len Alonte, and Vice-Mayor Angelo “Gel” B. Alonte reminded the public of the need to be wary of fake news coming from social media in the run-up to the 2022 National and Local Elections this May.

At a press conference, Dimaguila said: “In this time of COVID-19, social media is the communication platform of choice. Be ready for fake news and prefabricated stories meant to destroy reputations.”

He remained confident, however, that Biñanenses are intelligent and will see through the fake from the real news.

Meanwhile, Biñan lone district Rep. Len Alonte said that in the next three years, she will move to pass more laws that will further strengthen the health system of the city.

“A healthy Biñan is a productive Biñan,” Alonte said, adding that job opportunities can best be addressed if Biñanenses are fit and healthy.

For his part, Vice-Mayor Angelo B. Alonte said the city administration shall provide assistance to small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) to help bring back the economic vigor of the city.
