DWIZ 882 AM wins as Most Outstanding Radio Station

DWIZ 882 AM has received recognition as the Most Outstanding Radio Station at the 8th Asia Pacific Luminare Awards.

The gala event took place on November 15, 2023, at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila, alongside other institutions and personalities from various industries.

In addition to DWIZ’s triumph, the broadcaster and Vice President for Business Development, Dennis Antenor Jr., was hailed as the Best Male Newscaster.

Expressing gratitude for the esteemed accolades, Atty. Mcneil M. Rante, the General Manager of DWIZ 882 AM conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the Asia Pacific Luminare Awards organizers for recognizing the station’s dedication to serving the Filipino audience.

“Thank you to the organizers of this year’s Asia Pacific Luminare Awards for recognizing DWIZ 882 AM as the Best AM Radio Station of the Year,” he shared. “As you know, DWIZ has been serving the Filipino people with news, information, and public service for the past 32 years. We are very much elated to have been recognized by your esteemed group.”

He further emphasized, “This will be an inspiration to us at Aliw to do more, and to deliver accurate news and information, para maghatid ng tamang balita at impormasyon. Most importantly, para maglingkod ng tama sa sambayanang Pilipino” – signifying DWIZ’s commitment to delivering accurate and credible news, information, and responsible service to the nation.

Chairman and President D. Edgard A. Cabangon also extended his gratitude to the Asia Pacific Luminare for recognizing DWIZ 882 AM. He also acknowledged the team behind this success, “I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and commend the dedication and hard work of our DWIZ team.”

DWIZ 882 AM is under Aliw Broadcasting Corporation, a part of the ALC Media Group, which includes Aliw Channel 23, 97.9 Home Radio, BusinessMirror, Philippines Graphic, Pilipino Mirror, and Cook Magazine.

Established by the late Amb. Antonio L. Cabangon Chua, the network is presently led by its Chairman D. Edgard A. Cabangon.
