Aliw Broadcasting inks partnership with NewsWatch Plus PH

Aliw Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has officially entered into a new content partnership with NewsWatch Plus Philippines. Through this collaboration, NewsWatch Plus Philippines’ news and current affairs programs are now being broadcast on Aliw Channel 23.

The content partnership agreement was signed on August 12, 2024 at the Aliw Broadcasting Corporation office in Pasig City. The signing ceremony was attended by key executives from both organizations, including Aliw Broadcasting Executive Vice President and General Manager Atty. Mcneil R. Rante, and Vice President for Business Development Dennis L. Antenor Jr., NewsWatch Plus Philippines Senior Vice President for Commercial and Business Development Cecilia R. Major, and Chief Finance Officer Leon H. Dy.

Atty. Mcneil R. Rante expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying, “We’re very much elated with this partnership between NewsWatch Plus Philippines and Aliw Broadcasting Corporation. Thank you for the trust and confidence that you have bestowed upon us on our platform para lumabas ang contents ng NewsWatch Plus sa Aliw Channel 23.”

The collaboration brings a variety of high-quality programs to Aliw Channel 23’s primetime block, airing from 5 PM to 9 PM daily. 

The primetime block on Aliw Channel 23 will feature a robust lineup of NewsWatch Plus Philippines programs, including NewsWatch Now with Menchu Macapagal, offering a comprehensive daily news summary; Zoom In, featuring in-depth interviews with influential figures; The Other Office with Lois Calderon, exploring the personal lives and success stories of top executives; Manila Conversations with Tristan Nodalo, providing insights into Philippine culture and diplomacy; and Batas et AL with Atty. Al Agra, delivering valuable legal knowledge and advice to Filipinos.

Additionally, NewsWatch Plus Philippines will bring other engaging programs to the channel, including Building Bridges, One Small Act, The Story of the Filipino, Get Fit, Culinary Chronicles, and MedTalk Health Talk.

Atty. Rante added, “Nandito na po sa amin ang NewsWatch Plus entertainment watching and most especially news watching,” highlighting the ABC’s ongoing commitment to serving the public with quality content under the motto, “Nagbabalita ng tama, Naglilingkod ng tama.”

This partnership aligns with Aliw Broadcasting Corporation’s mission of bringing accurate and reliable news to Filipinos. Aliw Channel 23 is a free-to-air digital broadcast television, reaching audiences nationwide with diverse content ranging from news to entertainment. 

NewsWatch carries forward the tradition of excellence established by CNN Philippines, from which many of its journalists come from, ensuring that viewers continue to receive credible and insightful news coverage.

This marks another significant milestone for Aliw Broadcasting Corporation as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its reach and influence in the media industry. Following a recent partnership with Cignal TV, Aliw Channel 23 is set to further broaden its audience, delivering high-quality programming to viewers across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, ensuring that more Filipinos have access to compelling and reliable content.
