Manila, Philippines – Winford Resort and Casino Manila (WRCM) has teamed up with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) for a successful bloodletting drive on October 7, 2024.
With the theme “GIVE BLOOD, SAVE LIVES,” the initiative was participated by employees and volunteers from various departments, aiming to provide life-saving support to patients in need.
The bloodletting drive, organized by WRCM’s Safety and Security Department in collaboration with the PRC’s National Headquarters, saw 26 participants donating around 450 mL of blood each.
The Philippine Red Cross, led by Dr. Mikhail Manuel and his dedicated medical team, ensured a seamless process for all participants. Registered Nurse Marilee Mendeja oversaw registration and blood typing, while Medical Technologist Mary Larraine Bagsic conducted ELISA testing. Strict health screening protocols were followed to ensure the safety of all donors and recipients.
After the successful blood donation activity, Winford Resort and Casino Manila and the Philippine Red Cross pledged to sustain their partnership for future life-saving efforts.
