Supersized Pokémon event space goes on tour in SM malls nationwide
Pokémon fans of all ages are in for a great surprise as SM malls bring the beloved global media franchise on a nationwide tour with Pokémon Fun Day, an event presented by SM Supermalls.
In partnership with The Pokémon Company, the Pokémon Fun Day kicks off its first leg at The Block Atrium in SM North EDSA from January 31 to February 13, where fans will get to explore a supersized Pokémon event space featuring a giant six (6) meter tall Pikachu inflatable.
The supersized Pokémon event space will also captivate the hearts of the public with its other attractions such as free Pokémon Trading Card Game tutorial sessions, licensed collectibles like Pokémon toys and apparel, Pokémon trading cards, and a Pokémon video game demo area. Mallgoers also have the chance to meet and snap photos with Pikachu.
The Pokémon Fun Day caravan will go on rounds in different SM malls in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Iloilo, and Davao from January 2025 until October 2025.
Present at the Pokémon Fun Day launch on January 31 at SM North EDSA were SM Supermalls Group Head – Executive Vice President Joaquin L. San Agustin, The Pokémon Company Asia Business Development Corporate Officer Susumu Fukunaga, Animation International Philippines Director Tsutomu Kondo, and RUNRIO Inc. President and CEO Coach Rio Dela Cruz.
Meanwhile, running enthusiasts can also participate in the Pokémon Run that is coming to the SM Mall of Asia Complex on February 9, 2025. Organized by RUNRIO, the running event has race distances of 10K, 5K, 3K, and 1K. For more information, visit the official social media pages of RUNRIO.
