Cebu City, Philippines – July 16, 2025 — Taiwan’s spirit of hospitality and adventure sailed into the Queen City of the South as the 2025 Taiwan Waves of Wonder Tourism Workshop – Cebu took center stage at the Niña Ballroom of Radisson Blu Cebu. The evening event welcomed key travel professionals, airline partners, and tourism stakeholders for an engaging showcase of Taiwan’s travel products, collaborative initiatives, and cultural flair.

The program opened with a lively Travel Mart, where guests explored curated offerings from leading tourism organizations including Taiwan Leisure Farms Development Association, Cathay Hospitality Management, Leofoo Village Theme Park & Resort, Lacomfort International, Vigor KoBo, China Airlines, and EVA Air. Each exhibitor highlighted diverse experiences—from nature-inspired retreats to premium accommodations and family-friendly adventures—all tailor-fit for the Filipino market.

Attendees were then treated to a stunning Opening Show by FunTo Art, weaving creativity into the cultural exchange. A welcome speech followed, delivered by Mr. Wallace Minn-Gan Chow, Representative of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in the Philippines, setting the tone for regional collaboration and friendship. Ms. Judy Dela Cruz Gabato, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism Region VII – Central Visayas, shared heartfelt remarks reinforcing the shared goal of sustainable and inclusive tourism.

The celebration continued with a ceremonial Toast and Group Photo, featuring esteemed representatives from the airline, travel, and hospitality sectors. Interactive games like the Taiwan Q&A & Bring Me Game brought a lively spirit to the ballroom, followed by a crowd-energizing Dance Performance from FunTo Art, showcasing Taiwan’s signature hand-shaken beverage – Bubble Tea and classic Taiwanese stir-fry banquet traditions, left attendees inspired by Taiwan’s vibrant spirit and cultural creativity.

To cap off the evening, guests participated in a Lucky Draw filled with exciting prizes, before gathering for a final Group Photo that marked the successful conclusion of another impactful Taiwan tourism showcase.
