Sinclair The New Generation Paint Launches National Art Competition to Celebrate Filipino Creativity

Share

Filipino artists from every corner of the country are set to take center stage as Sinclair The New Generation Paint officially launches its National Art Competition from August 1 to October 30, 2025. Open to all Filipino artists, this prestigious event calls for original creations in two categories—Representational Art and Wall Art—with each masterpiece showcasing the beauty and versatility of Sinclair Makaw Decorative Lime Plaster and Makaw Effect Paints.

Representational Art focuses on realistic or clearly recognizable subjects—such as portraits, landscapes, or still life—painted on a 30″x36″ landscape box-type canvas, with Sinclair products adding unique textures and finishes to elevate the work. Wall Art, on the other hand, transforms architectural spaces through large-scale designs or murals applied directly to walls or panels, integrating Sinclair finishes to create striking, textured surfaces that are both decorative and enduring.

By offering these two distinct categories, the competition embraces both the finesse of traditional fine art and the bold visual impact of architectural artistry—bridging the gap between gallery-worthy pieces and design elements that enhance real-world spaces.
Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, technique, and the innovative use of Sinclair products, culminating in a grand awarding ceremony on November 14, 2025, in partnership with the Unified Artist Society at the UAS Art Gallery, located at 753 Gen. Solano St., San Miguel, Manila, in the presence of a DTI representative. More than just a competition, this is a celebration of artistry, craftsmanship, and the boundless potential of Filipino talent.

The launch of this competition is deeply rooted in what makes Sinclair The New Generation Paint—a brand that goes beyond color to deliver advanced technology and exceptional artistry in every finish. Known for marrying functional innovations with exquisite decorative possibilities, Sinclair empowers artists to create walls that are not only visually captivating but also built to stand the test of time.

This commitment to excellence naturally extends to Sinclair’s advocacy for Filipino creativity. As one of the most trusted paint brands in the world, Sinclair believes that supporting the arts is a way of building culture, community, and legacy. By providing artists with premium, authentic materials, the brand enables them to push the boundaries of their craft and transform spaces into living works of art.

Guided by its mission to collaborate with artists and muralists in developing aesthetic and innovative solutions for interior and architectural design, Sinclair also seeks to create meaningful livelihood opportunities for creatives. This aligns seamlessly with its vision: To be known as a prime advocate of artists and muralists as integral contributors to interior and architectural design, and to see the Philippines as a trailblazer in decorative plaster, stucco, and paints worldwide.

Registration for the Sinclair The New Generation Paint National Art Competition is now officially open. Artists may sign up and submit their entries through the official Facebook page and website. Complete mechanics and updates will also be posted.

With artistry as its canvas and innovation as its medium, Sinclair invites every Filipino artist to be part of this national celebration of talent—where each brushstroke tells a story, and each masterpiece leaves a mark that lasts.
