The SM Foundation conducted medical missions in Cebu this September, further bolstering its health and medical programs following the recent turnover of the San Remigio Primary Care Facility and the Naval Base Rafael Ramon Medical and Dental Dispensary in the province.

The first mission was held on at the Banilad Study Center in Cebu City. A total of 901 medical and diagnostic services were provided, including medical consultations, dental care, and glucose, cholesterol, uric acid, and hemoglobin tests. The SM Foundation Mobile Clinic also extended free X-rays and ECGs.

The said mission was organized in partnership with Banilad Study Center, Kalinangan Youth Foundation, University of Cebu College of Medicine, and Cebu Digital Hearing Solutions.

For its second leg, SM Foundation brought its services to Olango Island, Lapu-Lapu City. The activity extended 1,445 services. The medical mission was conducted with social good partners Watsons Personal Care Store, Unilab, and  the local government of Lapu-Lapu City.

The foundation’s Medical Mission program began in 2001 and has since conducted more than 1,700 medical missions, reaching over 1.3 million patients across the country.
