Hino Motors Philippines Corporation Announces Transition in Executive Leadership

Hino Motors Philippines Corporation (HMP) announces a transition in its executive leadership as Mr. Shingo Sakai, officially ends his assignment as President and Director effective December 31, 2025.

Mr. Sakai joined HMP in January 2023 and with him at the helm, Hino actively positioned itself to a Total Support- focused stance where, as in agriculture, Sales is the season for sowing while Aftersales with strong customer support shall be for long-lasting harvest.

During his tenure, Mr. Sakai also saw the inauguration of three new Hino dealerships, further expanding reach across major cities and provinces in the country. He is a strong advocate of providing top-notch product quality and aftersales support to customers, recognizing these as the brand’s formula to long term success.

On business longevity, it was also under his term that Hino ushered in its 50th year in the Philippine commercial vehicle industry. Honoring the company’s legacy and the people who helped build it, Sakai also championed an employee-centric culture fostering open communication and employee welfare through strengthened labor and management relations and investing on programs and facilities that promote healthy work-life balance for team members.

Mr. Sakai will be succeeded by Mr. Hiroyasu Seto as the new HMP President beginning January 1, 2026. Mr. Seto brings with him a wealth of experience in business development and strategic planning, having been with Hino Motors Ltd. for over 20 years.

Hino Motors Philippines and its network of dealers and partners are grateful for Mr. Sakai’s significant contributions to our business. We look ahead to another bright chapter of extending real, reliable Total Support to Filipinos under Mr. Seto’s leadership with the continued guidance of Mr. Vicente Mills, Jr. as Chairman.
