Iloilo City, Philippines – December 7, 2025 – The country’s biggest and longest-running footrace reached its thrilling conclusion as the 2025 National MILO® Marathon Finals crowned its new King and Queen after an intense 42K battle at La Paz Plaza, Iloilo City. This year’s finals marked the 25th race of the season, drawing over 24,000 runners nationwide, and served as a prelude to the marathon’s historic 50th anniversary in 2026.
Meet the 2025 MILO® Marathon King and Queen
Eduardo Flores, 27 years old, from General Santos City, clocked an impressive 2:27:58 to claim the prestigious title MILO Marathon King, while Myrel Benignos, 22 years old, from Negros, made history as the youngest MILO® Marathon Queen, finishing with a remarkable time of 3:15:21.
Both champions exemplify the MILO® brand purpose of “nurturing grit, discipline, and teamwork to build champions in sports and in life.” Their victories are a testament to years of hard work and determination, inspiring Filipinos to embrace an active lifestyle and pursue excellence beyond the finish line.
The new King and Queen follow in the footsteps of Richard Salaño and Christine Hallasgo, winners of the 2024 National MILO® Marathon Finals, who are proudly representing the Philippines at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand. Their legacy continues to inspire today’s champions to dream big and run farther.
