Manila, Philippines (March 23, 2026) — Pangasinan 2nd District Representative Mark O. Cojuangco recently met with Bishop Jacinto Jose of the Diocese of Urdaneta in Pangasinan. The meeting was meant as a dialogue between Cojuangco and Bishop Jose on the former’s advocacy for the use of nuclear energy as a means to stimulating economic growth.

Through nuclear energy, the country could see lower electricity rates that will benefit consumers, help bring investors back to the country and spur economic activity. “With nuclear energy, we can lower the cost of electricity to half of what we usually pay.

This means that Filipino families will have more disposable income for other essentials like food and education. Furthermore, lower electricity rates will spur economic growth because it will make the country more attractive to foreign investors. An increase in economic activity means  more jobs and better lives for our people.” said Cojuangco
