Collaboration equips Filipinos with practical digital skills to unlock more opportunities on TikTok

VIA GRAPHIC PLUS | MANILA, PHILIPPINES, (30 July 2026) — TikTok, the world’s leading short-form video platform, conducted a special edition of its flagship learning initiative, TikTok Content Camp, in collaboration with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) – National Capital Region, equipping aspiring entrepreneurs, job seekers, and individuals with practical digital skills to explore alternative sources of income on the platform.

The collaboration reflects TikTok’s commitment to supporting the Philippine government’s efforts to strengthen the country’s digital economy by expanding access to future-ready skills, as digital platforms continue to reshape how Filipinos learn, work, and earn.

“The digital economy is creating new opportunities for Filipinos to build businesses, develop new skills, and earn a livelihood. Through this collaboration with TESDA, TikTok is bringing practical, industry-relevant training to more learners and empowering them to participate in the digital economy, build sustainable livelihoods, strengthen their communities, and contribute to the country’s inclusive growth,” said Yves Gonzalez, Head of Public Policy for the Philippines at TikTok.

“Digital skills are becoming increasingly essential across industries and TESDA’s role is to make sure every Filipino is equipped to succeed in this rapidly changing environment. TikTok Content Camp allows us to complement technical training with knowledge in content creation, livestreaming, and social commerce, creating new opportunities for entrepreneurship and sustainable growth. Together with TikTok, we look forward to making skills development more accessible and responsive to the changing needs of the Philippine economy,” said Eugene P. Agcaoili, Center Administrator, TESDA RTC-NCR.

Participants took part in hands-on learning sessions designed to equip them with practical knowledge and tools to navigate opportunities in today’s digital economy.

The program opened with an introduction to CapCut, where participants learned the fundamentals of video editing, content packaging, and techniques for creating engaging short-form videos. This was followed by an overview of TikTok LIVE, which explored the Philippine livestreaming landscape, emerging content niches, audience engagement, and monetization opportunities. Participants also gained insights into how TikTok LIVE agencies support creators and businesses. Finally, the program concluded with content best practices for TikTok Shop Creator Affiliates, where participants learned strategies for social commerce.

Through continued collaboration with government agencies, educational institutions, and industry stakeholders, TikTok continues to support digital upskilling initiatives that empower more Filipinos with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in an increasingly digital world while advancing inclusive economic growth across the Philippines.
