VIA GRAPHIC PLUS — For Filipinos building and managing wealth, the financial landscape is changing in ways that are increasingly difficult to ignore. Investors today can now receive market news and investment views almost instantly, while digital platforms provide access to a wider range of markets and asset classes. This creates more opportunities, but also gives investors more information and signals to evaluate.

Against this backdrop, BPI Wealth, the asset and wealth management arm of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and the largest single trust institution in the country with 19.63% market share as of the second quarter, brings back Wealth Wellness Month for its third year this October, with Navigate the New as its theme.

“Change creates both uncertainty and opportunity. Navigate the New is our way of helping Filipinos make sense of both,” said Maria Theresa Marcial, President and CEO of BPI Wealth. “This Wealth Wellness Month, we aim to empower people to make informed financial decisions at every life stage, from starting their investment journey and securing their retirement to preserving family wealth and accessing global opportunities.”

BPI Wealth sees its role in helping investors make sense of a more complex financial landscape and navigate the decisions that matter to their goals. The focus is on helping investors cut through the noise, understand what matters to them, and make more informed decisions with greater confidence.

Wealth Wellness Month brings these different perspectives together to address the evolving financial needs of Filipinos across life stages.

The month opens with “Paano Ba Magka-PERA? A Simple Guide to Being Retirement Ready,” a special webinar, featuring content creator and actor Macoy Dubs, that makes PERA and retirement planning easier to understand, including how Filipinos can get started through BPI Wealth’s e-Invest and the BPI app.

At “FinQuest: The Final Showdown,” financial education continues beyond the competition and awarding of winners. Kia Abrera, creative strategist, will lead students in a conversation about navigating uncertainty and transition, encouraging them to recognize their capacity to adapt, keep learning, and actively shape the future. The event also gives students a deeper understanding of markets and investing as they prepare to enter the workforce.

As wealth grows, so do the considerations around protecting and passing it on. “Beyond Wealth: Trusts, Reimagined,” featuring BPI Chief Economist Jun Neri and BPI Wealth’s Atty. Gail Totanes, examines how economic and investment shifts are influencing wealth decisions and the role trusts can play in protecting, structuring, and transferring wealth across generations. The conversation then moves to the workplace through “Building Better Futures: Retirement in the Age of Longevity,” where Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Berna Romulo-Puyat and Global Board Director Su Yen Wong will discuss global longevity trends and the growing importance of retirement and employee benefits as a leadership priority.

The month concludes with “Wealth Summit: The Modern Investor’s Map to Global Investing,” featuring behavioral finance expert and New York Times bestselling author Dr. Daniel Crosby, and BPI Wealth Chief Investment Officer Luis Antonio Zialcita. The event explores how investors can look beyond familiar markets and broaden their perspective as global investment opportunities continue to evolve.

As BPI marks its 175th anniversary with the commitment to Do More Philippines, Wealth Wellness Month brings relevant financial conversations to Filipinos at different stages of life, helping them respond to change and build stronger financial futures.
