TIEZA, DBP, and DCI launch new online travel tax payment system

The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and the DBP Data Center Inc. (DCI) formally launched the Online Travel Tax Payment System (OTTPS) on April 16, 2018 at the TIEZA Central Office in Pasay City.

The launched aimed to introduce the new and improved OTTPS to the media and to the public. The OTTPS was developed to provide a more convenient way of paying the travel tax.

Using the OTTPS, the travel tax may now be paid through Visa credit and debit cards (MasterCard and Bancnet credit and debit cards soon to be available); Over the Counter (OTC non-bank) channel partners such as San Miguel Food Avenue, Petron Corporation, Total Philippines Corporation, MLhuiller Pawnshop ], Tambunting Pawnshop Inc., Shopwise and Wellcome Supermarkets, among others; and Touchpay Kiosk.

The OTTPS will be operational 24/7.

The launch highlighted the demonstration on how to use OTTPS in processing the full travel tax payment, as well as how to pay using Touchpay Kiosk.

TIEZA Chief Operating Officer PocholoParaagas himself demonstrated how to create an account while DBP Vice President Ricardo Josef Bandal II showed how to pay through the Touchpay Kiosk which will be placed in strategic locations.

Also present at the launch were TIEZA OIC-ACOO for Administration and Finance Sector Atty. Joy Bulauitan; DBP Chairman Hon. Alberto Romulo; DBP President &Chief Executive Officer Cecilia Borromeo; and DCI Senior Business Development Manager Mr.ArnelCelis.

Passengers may now access the OTTPS at https://traveltax.tieza.gov.ph to process full travel tax payments.

TIEZA is committed to continuously upgrading the OTTPS to make travel tax payments easier and more convenient.
