VMMC supports KSK Program

A 5,000 sq. meter lot inside the Veterans Memorial Medical Center became the center of activity for participants to SM Foundation’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Urban Farmers’ Training Program.

For 12 weeks trainees diligently attended to the vegetables planted in the demo farm as they learned the latest techniques on how to grow vegetables in limited spaces.

The 89 trainees including medical doctors, medical staff, other VMMC personnel and relatives of patients recently graduated in ceremonies held at SM North EDSA nearby.

A harvest festival was held in the morning on the day of the graduation. The graduates who make up KSK batch 192 were thankful to SM Foundation and its partners notably DSWD, VMMC, DA, Macondray Phils., SM Supermarket and SM City North EDSA.
