Garfield has always seen himself as ‘purr-fect,’ and 45 years later, he is even better!
The famous feline renowned for his CATTITUDE is celebrating 45 years of his extraordinary life, and everyone is invited to join the party.
In celebration of this milestone, Medialink Animation Int’l. Ltd. and SM Supermalls North Edsa in partnership with Paramount Consumer Products, are bringing the Garfield “It’s A Cat’s Life” event to SM North Edsa, from July 24 through August 13, 2023.
There will be an invites-only launch party on July 28 at 4pm at the event venue.
For three consecutive Sundays, Garfield will be in the Philippines to meet and greet his fans at SM North Edsa and merchandise will be available on sale for all superfans.
Funny, mischievous, unapologetic, and loved by people of all ages, Garfield is one of the most iconic cats in show business.
His passion for food and sleep and his aversion to exercise are legendary.
Garfield gets all the lasagna he can get his paws on – courtesy of Jon Arbuckle – and shares a home with Odie, a fun-loving dog who is often the target of his antics and sass.
Since the debut of Jim Davis’ first Garfield comic strip in 1978, Garfield has delivered the wittiest wisecracks that have come to define the charmingly cynical cat we know and love.
Today, he is 100% that cat – and perhaps bolder, wiser, and way cooler than before.

SM Supermalls North Edsa brings this iconic character to life, filling up The Block with Garfield’s orange cat flair.
Part of the “It’s A Cat’s Life” event is a spotlight on Garfield’s 45 Most Iconic moments, with Instagrammable photo spots featuring comic strips by Jim Davis as well as Garfield’s most favorite things.
From tips on sleeping and eating to family, friends, and cattitude – Garfield’s got you covered.
Don’t forget to bring your camera for photo opportunities with your family.
Superfans will also be happy to find Garfield merchandise ranging from apparel to footwear for purchase in the area from July 24 to August 13, 2023, available at SM North Edsa, The Block Atrium, and all SM Department Stores Children’s wear nationwide.
GARFIELD 45TH ART TOY EXHIBIT
Filipino fans will be thrilled – and undoubtedly be proud – to see Garfield through the lens of seven of the nation’s most creative and talented artists, whose unique art styles and contemporary interpretations of Garfield will be on display.
Featured artists are Arly Pescuela of MANKEEBOI, Dondi Fernandez, Mark and Johanna Deutsch of HAPPY GARAJE, Quatro “Hapimeel” Los Baños, Mary Pile of GINANSILYO NI MARYA, Badz Palacio of BADZ SCULPTURES, and Myden Cortina of WEHKID.
