SM Cares, SM Supermalls’ corporate social responsibility arm, in partnership with the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), kicked off the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW). The campaign aims to raise awareness and act against VAW.

The ceremonial lighting of the SM Mall of Asia globe signaled the start of the campaign, which runs from November 25 to December 12. The theme for this year’s campaign is “VAW Bigyang Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras!” (End VAW, Now is the Time!).

By joining forces, SM, PCW, and UNFPA aim to make a significant impact in the fight against VAW and empower survivors.

SM Cares, UNFPA and PCW’s main corporate partner in the campaign, strongly commits to championing this cause by ensuring it is effectively realized in all its businesses. “Our malls are all-inclusive and safe spaces, where everyone is welcome. There is no place for violence against women and their children,” Atty. Pearly Turley, Senior Assistant Vice President for Corporate Compliance Group and Program Director for Women of SM Cares, emphasized.

Let’s work together to end VAW and create a safer future for all.
