Trend Micro’s Annual Cybersecurity Conference Returns on September 2025 with a focus on strengthening cybersecurity resilience amidst emerging technologies
MANILA, PHILIPPINES, 12 August 2025 — Global cybersecurity leader Trend Micro will once again hold its free annual cybersecurity conference this coming September 9, 2025. With the theme DECODE 2025: Maximizing Momentum, DECODE will explore how to prevent and defend against cybersecurity risks brought about by emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence.
In a society where technological innovations such as AI, machine learning, and quantum computing are rapidly evolving, it is vital for organizations and businesses, big and small, to take part in enhancing their cybersecurity strategies. In this year’s conference, Trend Micro will highlight the need to be proactive in adapting to the emerging technologies while strengthening cybersecurity resilience.

Since it was first held in 2017, DECODE has attracted an average of 1,000 attendees annually, with a significant number of return participants, highlighting its value and enduring relevance as a trusted platform for dialogue and upskilling cybersecurity professionals across the country.
DECODE 2025 is set to bring together cybersecurity professionals from all over the world, with a roster of speakers well-versed in international and local law enforcement. This year’s keynote speaker, David Sancho, Senior Threat Researcher at Trend Micro, will talk about how the criminal underground has swiftly evolved in such a short span of time from 2024 to 2025, and how cybersecurity is making headway in its efforts to stay ahead of these new threats.
Senior Threat Researchers from Trend Micro will also cover topics that range from the future of automotive AI, to be tackled by Numaan Huq, to a discussion on the influence of language and linguistic differences in cybercrime by Stephen Hilt. Other speakers include a distinguished roster of Threat Researchers with backgrounds in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), threat intelligence, AI security, and experience working with Interpol, Europol, and the US Department of Defense.
DECODE 2025 will also host a dedicated session called ‘Get IT Girl’ that will feature talks from prominent female tech leaders in the industry, and live demonstrations from DECODE’s automotive cybersecurity partner, VicOne, will allow attendees to see the technology up close and at work. Attendees can also participate in DECODE’s annual Capture the Flag activity to cap off the event, which will serve as an opportunity to apply their learnings from this year’s conference.
