Soar through Philippines’ natural beauty with Enchanted Kingdom’s ‘AGILA The EKsperience: SARIBUHAY’

If there is one thing that vlogs and lifestyle shows here in the country continue to show us, it’s that the Philippines is perhaps one of the most beautiful countries, especially when it comes to nature. Dubbed the “Pearl of the Orient Seas,” the Philippines is often included in lists of places foreigners should visit for their next summer trip. Our natural landscapes are, without a doubt, world-class.

However, this is sometimes hard to recognize, even more so for those who cannot afford to travel around the many islands of our archipelago and see the breathtaking scenes firsthand. Unfortunately, videos on small screens, like our phones and laptops, can only do so much in capturing the wonders of our islands.

Because of this, it’s equally hard to truly appreciate—and thus, care for—our natural resources, which, for many decades, have been falling victim to aggressive deforestation, pollution, and industrialization.

But there is another solution: an immersive 4D experience.

Enter AGILA The EKsperience, one of the most magnificent and important attractions at the Enchanted Kingdom (EK) in Santa Rosa, Laguna. It is named after the Philippines’ national bird, agila or the Philippine eagle.

At its heart, it is a gigantic theater that employs a 4D theater experience and flight simulation, taking the audience on an awe-inspiring flight through 20 magnificent destinations in the country through the wings of an eagle.

According to the Enchanted Kingdom website, this is the “first flying theatre in the Philippines and the largest of its kind in the world.” As soon as the journey begins, the barricade in front of the seats drops down as the seat begins to move in tandem with the video, simulating the feeling of flying through the clouds and swimming deep under the sea.

With it being a 4D experience, it also tickles the sense of touch, as air gushes and a fine mist of water lightly sprays over the audience to simulate the water and air encountered in the video.

Apart from being a technical marvel and a theme park attraction, it is also EK’s foray into Edutainment. AGILA The EKsperience also serves as a way to enlighten the audience about the beauty and nature that the Filipinos have a duty to protect.

Enchanted Kingdom said of the attraction: “Beyond its mission to promote the beauty of the Philippines and drive tourism, AGILA The EKsperience: SARIBUHAY also serves as a powerful call to action—reminding everyone of the urgent need to conserve the environment and protect our wildlife.”

Leading the journey is Enchanted Kingdom’s mascot, Eldar the Wizard, as he invites the audience to preserve the beauty of the Philippines.

It is a one-of-a-kind experience that everyone is sure to enjoy and is currently open to the public.

AGILA the EKsperience was relaunched as a part of Enchanted Kingdom’s 30th anniversary celebration since it first opened its gates to the public on October 19, 1995.
