Catch the first-ever musical ice show at the SM Mall of Asia this Dec. 21

If you’re thinking of what to do before Christmas, here’s something you might enjoy.

Watch Filipino figure skaters showcase their ice prowess at the first-ever musical Christmas ice show in the Philippines, Carols On Ice, at the SM Mall of Asia this Dec. 21, 2022.

Organized by the Philippine Skating Union (PhSU), Carols on Ice is a fundraising event in collaboration with SM Supermalls, SM Skating, Milo, and Nestle Cereals.

This year’s theme is ‘Journey to a Dream’ featuring skaters performing to the music of old and new popular tunes, OPM hits, and Christmas songs.

Enjoy spectacular performances from some of the most well-known Filipino figure skaters including Michael Martinez, 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympian; Isabella Gamez and Alexander Korovin, the 1st PH pair figure skaters to win in an international competition this 2022; Sofia Frank, Junior World Championship competitor; Edrian Celestino, reigning PH National Champion in Men’s Figure Skating; GMA Sparkle Star Athletes Ashley Ortega and Skye Chua; and other young homegrown skaters.

Carols on Ice aims to nurture and expand awareness of ice skating in the Philippines. It is also an opportunity for young athletes to help grow and give back to the sport by showcasing their talent, skills, and passion.

Cheer on and support your favorite skaters on Dec. 21, from 8 PM to 10 PM.

Plus, you’ll not only get the chance to watch the coolest exhibition this year but also meet and greet the performers.

The SM Skating branches in Megamall, Mall of Asia, and Seaside Cebu are home to the
Philippine National Team of Ice Sports in partnership with the PhSU.

Through the years, SM and the PhSU have been conducting several competitions to promote figure skating in the Philippines.

And as a staunch advocate of sports education in the Philippines, SM Supermalls has been the primary supporter of the PhSU and competitive ice skating since the latter was established in 2005.
