Providing the public, especially the media community, a special window to witness firsthand the magic of the 17th Padday na Lima Regional Trade Fair from a whole new perspective, the Department of Trade and Industry Region 2, led by Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo, launched its first-ever Media Experience Tour (MET), last 7 August 2023 at the Festival Mall, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Information Officers (IOs) from the Philippine Information Agency, as one of the media partners of the fair, gracefully covered the entire event.

Said IOs represented the office of Deputy Director General (DDG) for Regional Operations and Unified Messaging Katherine Chloe De Castro.

Media representatives from Manila Bulletin, Philippine Star, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Business World, Malaya, The Manila Times, The Daily Tribune, BusinessMirror, Philippine Graphic, Chinese Comm. News, United Daily News, and metro-based vloggers and enthusiasts also joined the MET.

The MET features a festival-themed lounge and guided tour made specifically for the attending media industry professionals to help generate buzz around the brand of the Region’s best marketing platform.

Through this component, media industry representatives will be able to get a fresh scoop on business features and journal entries as they get to experience the real feel, look, and taste of Cagayan Valley through exploring the trade fair’s facilities and offerings, its operations, and also interviewing the agency’s key executives or employees.

Far more than its promotional and marketing goals, this MET component was made to shape industry narratives, foster meaningful relationships with the media and the public, and communicate the best things that only the Cagayan Valley can offer.
