Award-winning and fastest-growing bank Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC), announced its partnership with leading payment services franchise company ExpressPay to make mobile-point-of-system RCBC ATM Go more accessible to a larger segment of Filipinos.

The collaboration between RCBC and ExpressPay is envisioned to enhance remittance services, online payments, e-commerce transactions, bank account management, and bills payments by expanding the network of merchants of RCBC ATM Go.

The sealing of partnership was led by RCBC Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer Lito Villanueva and Expresspay President Anson Uy at the RCBC Collaboration Hub (Collhub), AT Yuchengco Centre, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

“As part of our commitment to promote financial inclusion, we are delighted to be working with the Philippines’ largest network of  RCBC ATM Go. With this partnership, we will be able to offer Filipinos additional affordable and secure financial services in the respective communities,” said Anson Uy, President of ExpressPay.

Villanueva also expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for the alliance as it aligns with the collective vision of the bank and the Philippine government to hit the financial inclusion target of onboarding 70% of adult Filipinos and digitizing 50% of retail payments by 2023.

“RCBC is excited for this partnership as this adds to the many strategies that we employ to materialize the Philippine government’s vision of financial inclusivity and digital innovation, and makes RCBC ATM Go available to more underserved and unbanked communities and areas,” said Villanueva.

“This collaboration will surely enable RCBC’s life-enriching banking services to reach every Filipino, no matter where they are and who they are,” added Villanueva.

RCBC is the only private universal bank in the Philippines with the most extensive reach through the RCBC ATM Go network, covering all 82 provinces nationwide with over 3,400 terminals deployed and close to 1,400 partner merchants as of September 2023.

The Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services and Technology Innovation Philippines Awards recently awarded RCBC ATM Go as the Best Financial Inclusion Initiative.

RCBC emerged as the fastest growing bank in the country after it leaped from eighth position in 2018 to fifth position in 2022 in the list of the Philippines’ largest privately owned banks in terms of assets.

Among its global and local recognitions include a four-peat award as the Philippines’ Best Bank for Digital by Asiamoney, the Eye on Innovation Award by Gartner, YouTube Challenger Award for its viral and out-of-the-box digital ad campaigns generating combined views of over 17 million, and Grand Champion for Digital Payments and Financial Inclusion by the Bankers Institute of the Philippines.
