Go Negosyo empowers OFWs at Balik-Bayan Summit in SM Mall of Asia

Go Negosyo recently held the “Balik-Bayan Summit 2024” at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall to support Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families. With the theme, “Kabuhayan Para sa Kinabukasan,” the event featured P3 million in cash and in-kind prizes awarded to participants.

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion spearheaded the event, with the President’s office contributing P2 million to the prize pool.

Mr. Concepcion expressed gratitude to the OFWs and their families for their invaluable contributions to the country. “Balik-Bayan 2024 is a platform to provide business opportunities and foster investment matches for OFWs, encouraging them toward entrepreneurship and ensuring that their hard work and resources are put to productive and profitable use,” said Mr. Concepcion.

Organized by Go Negosyo, Balik-Bayan 2024 offered a comprehensive program featuring informative discussions with industry leaders, inspiring sessions from successful entrepreneurs, and free on-site mentorship opportunities. These sessions provided OFWs and their families with valuable insights and guidance for their current or planned businesses.

The summit featured actress and family life and child development specialist Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith, farmer and environmentalist Angie Mead King, educational content creator Lyqa Maravilla, and a performance by singer Sam Concepcion. It was moderated by journalist Karen Davila, reporter Love Anover, and host Sam Oh.
