MANILA, Philippines – Proving they are far more than a traditional social organization, the Philippine National Police Officers’ Ladies Club (PNPOLC) takes another center stage in community service as it graces this year’s simultaneous nationwide LAB Virus Program and Medical Mission on June 4, 2025, in partnership with Cardinal Santos Medical Center.
What began as a support group for the spouses of PNP officers has grown into a nationwide network of empowered women making measurable impact in the lives of Filipinos. The LAB Virus initiative—short for “Love and Blessing”—is a prime example of that transformation. This program delivers vital medical services with warmth and compassion to underserved communities across the country.
“We are not just a social club—we are a force for good, and in order to make this sustainable, we made sure to create partnerships like this with Cardinal Santos Medical Center,” said Mrs. Mary Rose Marbil, National Adviser of the PNP-OLC Foundation.
Mrs. Marbil said she and her husband, former PNP Chief Rommel Marbil have decided to make this initiative nationwide and simultaneous in all the regional police offices in the country.
“Behind every officer is a family. Behind every family is a community. Our mission is to strengthen that chain of care, one act of love at a time.”
In an unprecedented show of unity and service, the PNP-OLC mobilized members in all regions to simultaneously conduct medical missions in police camps, barangays, and remote areas. In collaboration with Cardinal Santos Medical Center, the initiative will provide:
• Free health consultations
• Basic laboratory services and Free circumcision
• Blood pressure and blood sugar checks
• Flu and pneumonia vaccinations
• Medicine distribution and wellness education
The event is part of PNP-OLC’s broader effort to redefine the role of women in the uniformed service community—not just as supporters, but as leaders, organizers, and changemakers in their own right.
“The PNP-OLC has evolved. We are community builders, health advocates, and partners in peace and progress,” added Mrs. Marbil.
By teaming up with one of the country’s leading medical institutions, the club ensures quality care reaches even the hardest-to-reach populations, proving that true service transcends uniforms—and that compassion knows no rank.
