Canva, the world’s only all-in-one visual communication platform, today announced that Canva Education is now available to all DepEd teachers, learners, and staff with a valid DepEd email address. This milestone follows Canva’s recent global achievement of reaching over 100 million teachers and students designing on the platform every month.

Since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Education in October 2024, Canva Education has already enabled thousands of public school teachers across the Philippines to create engaging learning materials and foster visual communication skills among students.

With today’s nationwide rollout, every K–12 teacher and student nationwide can now access Canva Education—completely free and just in time for the opening of the new school year—bringing powerful, creative tools into classrooms when they’re needed most.

“Our mission at Canva has always been to democratize design and empower everyone to communicate their ideas visually,” said Maisie Littaua, Country Manager of Canva Philippines. “We want to plant seeds early and ensure we’re impacting young lives from the classroom up. Visual communication is quickly becoming a critical skill for the future workforce. With this full rollout, we’re equipping Filipino educators and learners with powerful tools to make learning more engaging, collaborative, and effective—while preparing them for the world ahead.”

Canva Education offers access to thousands of education-specific templates, real-time classroom collaboration tools, content planning features, and seamless integrations with platforms like Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams. It’s also built with safety and accessibility at its core, ensuring a secure, age-appropriate digital environment for all users.

“This initiative marks a key step in Canva’s broader commitment to advancing education and digital inclusion across Southeast Asia. By starting with the Philippines, we’re taking a meaningful step toward equipping the next generation with intuitive, inclusive, and accessible visual communication tools,” said Yani Hornilla-Donato, Regional Lead for Southeast Asia at Canva.

“Filipino teachers have always been heroes in their own right. Give them Canva, and now they’ve got superpowers. We’re grateful to Canva for equipping our educators and learners nationwide with world-class tools. This is exactly the kind of innovation the Marcos administration supports: tech that empowers, tools that uplift, and education that prepares our people for the future,” said Education Secretary Sonny Angara.
