Fortune Life was honored to be part of the Philippine Life Insurance Association’s (PLIA) 75th Anniversary celebration held on July 29, 2025, at the Grand Ballroom of Fairmont Makati City. With this year’s theme, “A Legacy of Protection: Ensuring Stability, Inspiring Growth,” PLIA commemorated 75 years of protecting lives, driving innovation, and shaping the future of life insurance in the Philippines.

The event gathered industry leaders and advocates, highlighted by an inspiring keynote from BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat. Representing Fortune Life, EVP–Chief Operating Officer and PLIA Director Emma Abad joined Insurance Commissioner Reynaldo Regalado, PLIA President Rahul Hora and fellow leaders in presenting a token of appreciation to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Deputy Governor Romulo-Puyat. Insurance Commissioner Regalado, one of the event’s distinguished guests, also delivered a congratulatory message to PLIA.

Celebrating seven and a half decades of progress, the milestone event highlighted PLIA’s corporate transformation from 1950 to 2025 and unveiled its newly redesigned website and logo.

Also present at the event were Fortune Life Consulting Actuary and former PLIA President Evelyn Carada, SVP for Group Sales Virgilio Aquino, AVP for Information Technology (IT) and PLIA IT Committee Chair Alexander Maniago, SAVP for IT Alvin Dela Cruz, and AVP for New Business Ma. Teresa Catapang.

On the morning of July 29, PLIA hosted a special conference at the Namayan Room, Fairmont Makati, unveiling the findings of their landmark consumer study, PULSE (Philippine Understanding of Life Security & Envisioned Goals Study). The study offers valuable insights into how Filipinos’ views on life insurance are evolving due to inflation, digital technology, and shifting financial priorities reshaping how they approach protection, savings, and long-term security. These findings help life insurance providers like Fortune Life better understand client needs, enabling them to deliver more relevant, responsive, and inclusive financial solutions.

Fortune Life remains committed to supporting PLIA in its mission to promote financial protection, drive industry growth, and empower more Filipinos for generations to come.

Fortune Life is part of the ALC Group of Companies founded by the late Amb. Antonio L. Cabangon Chua.
