20 entries advance to 2026 World Slasher Cup 1 grand finals

via Graphic Plus (with Araneta City and Uniprom Inc.) — The first edition of World Slasher Cup 9-Cock Invitational Derby will have 20 entries who will battle it out in the grand finals after scoring impressive wins in the elimination and semi-final rounds. 

The much-awaited 4-cock grand finals is scheduled for Sunday, February 1, at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Top fighters competing in the 4-cock grand finals are Jojo Bacar Ebros/JC Labaco/Daniel Broker, Jonarie Fortaleza/Robert Santiago, both with 5 wins and no losses.

Also competing in the grand finals is Amo Tose, who scored 4 wins and 1 draw at the end of the semi-final round.

Other top fighters on the grand finals list are Don Guam/Nad Mendoza, Allan Villegas/Obet Bello, Haider G. Almacha/Reynante Vista/JGAT, Pep Goitia/Alvin Arañez, Gene Batia/Madlambayan Bros, Michael Mashburn/William Mamba, Atty. Abella/Baldo, Jon Jon Cano, Doc Belle Almojera, Roel Bacomo/R. Adao/C. Ledesma, Rod Advincula/TRB/ATK, JMW/Bruno Dinero, JLA, and Patrick Antonio, all with 4-2 records each at the end of the semi-final round. 

Cockers who scored 3.5 points, 3 points, 2.5 points, and 2 points will battle it out in the pre-finals on Saturday, January 31.

Meanwhile, another 109 entries will be competing in tonight’s second day of the semifinal round. Just some of the names on the semi-finals list are Rudy A. Marasigan, Bobby Cabana/Rudy Cabana/Jojo A, Butch Brotonel, Lenman GF/MCC, Guam, RM/Boy Paloay, Bebot Uy/Voltaire Atienzar, Paolo Caymo/Boody Buenaventura, ADV/Jun Durano, Presly, and Joe Alimbuyuguin/Dominic Camo/Jonnel Cruz; all with 2-0 records each after the elimination round.
