The announcement comes at a time when access to quality healthcare has become more urgent. An OCTA Research survey of 1,200 Filipino adults found that 67% cite staying healthy as their top personal concern this year. While a study conducted by the Boston Consulting Group found that 64% of Filipino families say they cannot afford a ₱10,000 hospital bill without going into debt.

Starting immediately, anyone with an existing PRIMA prepaid healthcare card can simply walk into any of Maxicare’s 49 clinics to avail of their benefits. Meanwhile, those without a PRIMA card can purchase one on-site and use it immediately with no prior appointment required. This gives them easy access to Maxicare’s premium clinic experience and services, including doctor consultations, and access to on-site laboratory and diagnostic procedures, depending on the PRIMA package.
