Mitsubishi Motors PH welcomes EVIS Executive Order, reaffirms commitment to local hybrid electric vehicle production

VIA GRAPHIC PLUS | July 2026 — Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) welcomes the issuance of the Electric Vehicle Incentive Strategy (EVIS) Executive Order, which represents a significant step toward accelerating vehicle electrification, strengthening local automotive manufacturing, and supporting the continued growth of the Philippine automotive industry.

In line with this national direction, MMPC will participate in the program through Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s PhP 7-billion investment to locally produce hybrid electric vehicles in the Philippines.

The planned local production of hybrid electric vehicles marks a new chapter in MMPC’s long-standing partnership with the Philippines. It will support the expansion of local manufacturing capabilities, encourage further development of the automotive supply chain, and contribute to the country’s transition toward more sustainable transportation.
