VIA GRAPHIC PLUS | Olongapo City, Philippines — The Western Philippines International Tourism (WPIT) 2026 is set to bring together tourism stakeholders, government agencies, travel professionals, investors, exhibitors, and the public for a three-day tourism and trade event from July 30 to August 1, 2026, under the theme “Time to Visit Us Now.”

Designed to promote the diverse tourism offerings of Western Philippines, the event aims to strengthen industry collaboration, encourage tourism investments, and showcase the region’s rich cultural heritage through exhibitions, business networking, educational forums, and lifestyle activities.

The opening day will feature the Grand Opening Ceremony, ribbon-cutting of the Tourism and Trade Exhibition, regional destination showcases, cultural dance performances, and the opening of the tourism marketplace. A Culture of Tourism Seminar will also be held for tourism stakeholders, followed by a welcome reception hosted by the City Government of Olongapo.

On July 31, the event shifts to an exclusive Buyers Meet Sellers (B2B) Day, providing a platform for travel buyers, tourism enterprises, investors, and destination managers to participate in business matching sessions, investment presentations, and networking opportunities. The day concludes with a tropical networking reception to strengthen partnerships within the tourism industry.

The final day opens the event to the public with tourism marketing presentations, destination promotions, lifestyle and business talks, and an Investment Opportunities and Innovation Forum. Visitors can also enjoy a tropical wear fashion show, the Filipiniana Fashion Showcase: “SALUDO FILIPINAS,” and the Search for Mr. and Ms. Western Philippines 2026 before the celebration culminates in the Closing Gala Night, featuring the coronation, awards presentation, and closing ceremonies.

“Western Philippines International Tourism 2026 is more than an exhibition—it is a platform that connects destinations, businesses, investors, and communities to create sustainable tourism growth while showcasing the unique beauty and culture of Western Philippines,” the organizing committee said.

The three-day event is expected to attract hundreds of delegates from local government units, tourism offices, hotels, resorts, travel agencies, airlines, investors, educational institutions, and tourism advocates, reinforcing Western Philippines as an emerging hub for tourism, trade, and investment.

Through collaboration between the public and private sectors, WPIT 2026 aims to strengthen regional tourism development, create new business opportunities, and inspire travelers to discover the diverse attractions of Western Philippines.
