VIA GRAPHIC PLUS | Parañaque City, Philippines — Wyndham Garden Manila Bay celebrated its grand opening not only as the launch of a new hospitality destination, but also as an occasion to recognize courage, community spirit, and the people who bring genuine Filipino hospitality to life.

The milestone event welcomed government officials, tourism representatives, hotel owners, corporate and travel partners, members of the media, and distinguished guests for an afternoon and evening of ceremonies, dining, entertainment, and meaningful recognition.

One of the most memorable moments of the celebration was the presentation of a special Recognition of Heroism to Daniel Dagcutan. He was honored for his remarkable courage after saving two children from drowning on July 12. His quick action and selflessness reflected the values of compassion, responsibility, and service that Wyndham Garden Manila Bay hopes to champion within the community.

The recognition was presented as local government officials, hotel leaders, and guests gathered to applaud Dagcutan’s bravery, turning the grand opening into an opportunity to highlight an inspiring story of everyday heroism.

The celebration also showcased Filipino talent and creativity. Guests enjoyed special appearances of Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2025 Christine Eds Enero, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2025-World Top Model Ms. Naomi Wainwright and special performance by acclaimed singer Zendee, and a high-energy fire dance group. Interactive experiences, including photo and 360-degree video booths, encouraged guests to capture and share the occasion.

Filipino flavors were equally central to the event. Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef Andrew Ko led the hotel’s culinary team in presenting a poolside barbecue dinner and creative canapés inspired by familiar local dishes and regional traditions.
