VIA GRAPHIC PLUS | MANILA (August 2026) — Singapore Airlines (SIA) has partnered with Mastercard and Grand Hyatt Manila to introduce Culinary Connections, a curated range of dishes that celebrate flavors in destinations from across SIA’s global network.

The dishes will be available at The Grand Kitchen, Grand Hyatt Manila, for a limited time between 6 August 2026 to 5 October 2026.

Alongside the culinary fare offered by The Grand Kitchen, Culinary Connections brings new options for customers to savor and learn about the history and cultural significance behind the dishes.

Mr. Logaventhan Karuppannan, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Singapore to the Philippines, said: “For both Singapore and the Philippines, we express our care through cuisine and culture. So in this sense, Culinary Connections today captures this spirit quite beautifully.”

Ms. Liwei Tai, General Manager Philippines, Singapore Airlines, said: “Food is one of the most universal ways to connect with culture, traditions, people, and stories. And when that experience is paired with thoughtful hospitality, it creates a sense of discovery and invites conversations. Culinary Connections demonstrates Singapore Airlines’ commitment to offering customers meaningful experiences that extend beyond the cabin. Through this collaboration, we hope to encourage you to explore or to re-explore destinations around the world.”

Mr. Roger Habermacher, General Manager, Grand Hyatt Manila, said: “At Grand Hyatt Manila, every dining experience is an opportunity to create meaningful moments. Culinary Connections brings that philosophy to life by inviting guests to discover the flavors and stories of destinations from across Singapore Airlines’ network via The Grand Kitchen. Together with Singapore Airlines and Mastercard, we’re proud to offer an experience that celebrates world-class hospitality, cultural discovery, and the joy of sharing great food.”

Beyond the featured dishes, KrisFlyer members and Mastercard cardholders can access exclusive privileges including redemption options and promotional offers.

Mr. Jason Crasto, Country Manager, Mastercard Philippines, said the partnership demonstrates how travel, dining, and exclusive privileges can come together to create more meaningful experiences for customers.

“Enabling secure, seamless payments will always be fundamental to what we do, but once that has been established, the question becomes ‘what else can payments make possible?’ For us, the answer begins with access to a meal that brings people closer together, a trip that introduces someone to a new culture, or an experience that makes everyday moments more rewarding. We take that responsibility seriously. Every collaboration that we’ve done, just like this one, is an opportunity to extend that value,” Crasto said. “Culinary Connections brings that ambition to life by connecting travel, dining, and rewards in one experience.”

Local favorites brought to life

Carefully curated by the talented chefs of Grand Hyatt Manila’s The Grand Kitchen, Culinary Connections offers three distinct dishes that invite diners to discover culinary delights, celebrated by locals in different SIA destinations.

A Southeast Asian delicacy made of fish mixed with spices and coconut milk and wrapped in a banana leaf, Otak-Otak is traditionally steamed or grilled, giving it a distinct aromatic smell and flavor. The addition of curry paste to this particular iteration adds a kick of spice that would instantly transport customers to street food markets in Singapore.

A flat, yellow Chinese egg noodle that serves as the base for many noodle dishes, this Mee Pok is mixed with a tangy-spicy sauce, topped with juicy mushrooms, crunchy bean sprouts, and flavorful ground beef and squid balls, creating an exciting blend of texture and taste in one bite.

Finally, the Octopus Adobo is a Filipino-inspired delicacy that combines tender, chewy octopus with the tangy, garlicky soy-vinegar sauce that distinguishes the bold flavors of adobo. The addition of Indonesian sauce sambal brings a surprising kick of heat to the dish, elevating the overall flavor profile.
