The evolution from developer to established power platform marks key milestone in NAC’s 2030 strategic roadmap to build a diversified natural resources powerhouse.

VIA GRAPHIC PLUS | MANILA, Philippines — Emerging Power Inc. (EPI) today officially announced its rebranding to NAC Energy Inc. (NAC Energy), marking a pivotal transformation from an emerging solar power developer into an established, multi-technology power generation platform.

The brand unification directly aligns the energy unit with its parent company, Nickel Asia Corp. (NAC), reinforcing the conglomerate’s long-term commitment to sustainable natural resource development and clean energy transition in the Philippines.

The establishment and expansion of NAC Energy serves as a core pillar of NAC’s broader strategy through 2030 as it aims to build a diversified Philippine energy platform focused on flexible and sustainable power solutions.

“This rebranding is far more than a name change—it is a clear statement of who we are today and where we are heading. We are no longer just an emerging player; we have proven our capacity to execute, scale, and deliver reliable power. Carrying the NAC brand unifies our shared purpose across the Group and expands the narrative of what NAC represents: a forward-looking, responsible natural resources development platform driving sustainable energy solutions for the nation,” said NAC Energy President and CEO Martin Antonio G. Zamora.

The strategic rebranding comes after successful executions of major utility-scale solar power projects. NAC Energy’s operating capacity expanded to 293 megawatt-peak (MWp) as of July this year. Carrying the NAC name unifies the energy portfolio under a single corporate brand while broadening the overall identity of the NAC Group beyond its large footprint in mining.

While solar energy remains a central pillar of NAC Energy’s operational assets, the rebranding reflects a strategic expansion into a broader, highly diversified energy portfolio designed to address the Philippines’ complex energy demands. Moving forward, NAC Energy’s operations will go beyond solar to ensure that the company can deliver both clean generation and flexible, resilient baseload or mid-merit capacity needed to stabilize local grid infrastructure—particularly in off-grid and island communities across the archipelago.

NAC Energy Inc. Capacity & Expansion Pipeline

• Current Operating Capacity (as of July 2026): 293 MWp

• Active Projects Under Construction and in Advanced Development (374 MWp Total):

o Phase 2 of San Isidro Solar Power Corp. (SISPC): 120MWp (Leyte)

o Subic Solar Project: 145 MWp (Cawag, Subic, Zambales)

o Nazareno Solar Project: 50 MWp (Nazareno, Bataan)

o Botolan Solar Project: 59 MWp (San Juan, Botolan, Zambales)

Amid expanding technology choices and aggressive pipeline development, NAC Energy emphasizes that its core mission remains absolute: to provide stable, resilient, and cheaper power to all Filipino consumers.

“Our non-negotiable standard is simple: to deliver secure and cheaper power to the Filipino people without sacrificing our sustainability imperatives,” added Zamora. “Clean energy must walk hand-in-hand with energy security and accessibility.”
